Who will cut the cake? Aa! Tangle – At an angle

Telangana was to be the new state. Like the angst of partition in the 1940s this seems no different. However the mere decision to create a new state sparked of all kinds of reaction. Firstly there are those who want the state. Then there are others who do not want it because they do not want to share Hyderabad. Now there are others who want this repeated. A few want Vidharba. A big no to the merest suggestion for Gorkhaland, and some one asking “What about Bodoland?” There is also an unbelievable request for creating four new slices from another state. Someone tweets for a separate Mumbai and the army is irked but ironically the same army wants a separate Jammu. We all have learnt that fragmentation of agricultural land leads to affect both the agricultural production capacity of the land and its rural scenic quality. I wonder what would happen if from 28 states there are suddenly 37 states. Will the new AP be better off? Or Telangana will be at advantage?

Cake

Wanting a new state is fine, but who will cut the cake?

  2. More than AP getting split into Telangana and AP, I think the actual fight is for Hyderabad…
