Eavesdropping near the River Wey

“It is hard” said Hardy softly, almost a whisper.

“Much easier if you were to use continued fractions…”

“Mathematics was not my cup of tea” said Oliver patting his friend Stan.

“Give me cartoons any day”

“Comics? That should be easy”

“No it is hard Lee” replied Stan

“Hardly. as hard as clowning around. I can’t even rest on my laurels after all these years” said Stan.

“It requires practice like the one Bruce here does ten hours a day” concluded Harold.

Snatches of conversation over heard at the tea bar on the banks of river Wey, and I was left wondering who the participants were.

  1. Guess it is our favourite Laurel and Hardy…certainly not Dr Jeklyll and Mr Hyde!
